Event Accessibility Statement

In order to ensure the accessibility of all campus-sponsored events, include an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) statement on all event advertisements, announcements, emails, and flyers.

The ADA statement provides event participants, including students, faculty, staff, and guests, with contact information to request accommodations such as wheelchair accessibility, American Sign Language interpretation, and/or captioning.

The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) team will work with the sponsoring department (i.e. event planner) to provide the requested accommodations. In all situations, a good-faith effort will be made, up until the time of the event, to provide accommodations.
