Emory works to move forward on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion by taking responsibility and acting to identify and eliminate persistent patterns of inequity that impede our ability to fulfill our institutional mission.
The Department of Equity and Inclusion (DEI) ensures Emory University’s compliance with laws pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, Title IX, the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
